Dear godparents and Tandana Foundation members,
My name is David Cachimuel and I was a Tandana scholarship student. This scholarship has supported me since I started at the university, and now thanks to the support, I’ve finished my university studies. I’m the youngest child of a family with five siblings, and the first one to obtain a university degree, which represents a lot of pride for my family because finally someone in the family has a university degree.

Queridos padrinos, madrinas (donantes) y miembros de la fundación Tandana
Mi nombre es David Cachimuel y fui un becario más del programa de becas que ofrece de la fundación Tandana, la cual me supo ayudar desde mis inicios en la universidad y que ahora gracias al apoyo brindado, he podido culminar mis estudios universitarios, soy el último hijo de una familia de 5 hermanos, y el primero en obtener un título de tercer grado de estudio, lo cual representó un orgullo muy grande para mi familia; pues finalmente habría un miembro en la familia con un título universitario.
Durante estos años que he trabajado con la Fundación Tandana, he podido darme cuenta de la gratitud que es trabajar para servir a los demás sin esperar recibir algo a cambio, las visitas a comunidades y sectores lejanos de la ciudad me han ayudado a comprender que existen necesidades aún más importantes, de las que nosotros como residentes de la ciudad tenemos, creo que he aprendido a tener un pensamiento más humano y solidario hacia los demás, he valorado la importancia que tiene el estudio y he puesto empeño en cada nivel para obtener mayor conocimiento y ponerlo en práctica algún día esperando que sea un granito de aporte para la sociedad.
Quiero agradecer también a todo el personal que forman parte del grupo Tandana, he podido establecer una relación tanto como con el personal así como también con el grupo de becarios, muchas gracias a Anna Taft por haber recibido mi solicitud y aceptarme en el programa, creo que existen muy pocas ONGs en la ciudad que ofrecen estos programas de ayuda económica, en verdad fue un provecho poder coincidir con la fundación. Cabe resaltar que el programa de becas me parece que es de vital importancia para jóvenes tienen muchas ganas de auto superarse mediante la formación superior pero que no cuentan con los recursos económicos necesarios para lograr hacerlo.
Quisiera despedirme de todos ustedes dándoles un sincero agradecimiento de corazón por haber hecho esto posible, gracias por haberme aceptado dentro del programa de becas, gracias padrinos, madrinas por el aporte económico que invierten en los programas de la fundación y muchas gracias Anna Taft por confiar en mí, así como también a don Vicente y Verito por brindarme todo el apoyo posible, muchas gracias.

Many thanks from a University graduate

My name is David Cachimuel and I was a Tandana scholarship student. This scholarship has supported me since I started at the university, and now thanks to the support, I’ve finished my university studies. I’m the youngest child of a family with five siblings, and the first one to obtain a university degree, which represents a lot of pride for my family because finally someone in the family has a university degree.
During the years I’ve worked with The Tandana Foundation, I’ve been able to realize how satisfying it is to help others without expecting to receive anything in return. By visiting communities and places far away from my city, I have come to understand that some people have needs that are more important than we as residents in the city have. I think that I’ve learned a more human thought process and to show solidarity with others. I have learned to value the importance that education has and I have put great effort in my classes to obtain more knowledge, so someday I can put into practice what I have learned and contribute to society.
I want to also thank all the members who are part of Tandana. I was able to establish a relationship with the staff just as much as I did with the scholarship student group.
Many thanks to Anna Taft for receiving my application and accepting it. I think that there are not enough NGOs in the city that offer programs which help with financing education. It was really a benefit to be able to share with the foundation.
It should be noted that the scholarship program is very important for youth because they want to overcome their challenges by themselves through studying at the university, but they don’t have financial resources to study.
I would like to say goodbye to everyone, giving to you sincere thanks from my heart for having made this possible. Thank you for accepting me in the scholarship program, thanks godparents for the financial support that you give for Tandana programs, and many thanks to Anna Taft for trusting in me and to Mr. Vicente Pazmiño and also to Veronica for giving me all this support. Merci beaucoup d’un diplômé universitaire
Chers parrains (donateurs) et membres de la Fondation Tandana,
Je m’appelle David Cachimuel et j’ai bénéficié d’une bourse d’étude Tandana qui m’a aidé tout au long de mes études universitaires. Je vous remercie pour le soutien accordé que vous m’avez accordé : j’ai fini mes études universitaires. Je suis le plus jeune d’une famille de cinq enfants et le premier à obtenir un diplôme universitaire. Cela est une fierté pour ma famille puisqu’il y a enfin une personne dans la famille avec un diplôme universitaire.
Tout au long de ces années, j’ai collaboré avec la Fondation Tandana. J’ai été reconnaissant de travailler pour les autres sans rien attendre en retour, visiter les communautés et les endroits éloignés de la ville. Ces expériences m’ont aidé à comprendre que nos besoins en tant que résidents de la ville ne sont pas les plus importants. J’ai appris à apprécier l’importance de l’éducation et à fournir l’effort nécessaire à chaque étape pour gagner davantage de connaissances. Ainsi, un jour je mettrai en pratique ce que j’ai appris et contribuerai au développement de la communauté.
Je souhaite aussi remercier tous les membres qui font partie de Tandana. J’ai pu entretenir des relations avec l’équipe aussi bien que je l’ai fait avec le groupe d’étudiants.
Merci infiniment à Ana Taft pour avoir reçu et approuvé ma candidature. Je pense qu’il n’y pas assez d’ONG dans la ville qui proposent un programme qui aide financièrement. C’était un véritable privilège d’être en mesure de partager avec la fondation.
Il devrait être souligné que le programme de bourses est très important pour la jeunesse parce qu’ils veulent relever leurs défis eux-mêmes grâce aux études universitaires mais ils n’ont pas les ressources financières pour étudier.
J’aimerais dire au revoir à chacun d’entre vous en vous adressant mes sincères remerciements du fond de mon cœur pour avoir rendu cela possible. Merci pour m’avoir accepté dans le programme de bourse. Merci aux parrains pour l’argent qu’ils donnent aux Programmes Tandana et merci beaucoup à Anna Taft pour m’avoir fait confiance. Je tiens aussi à remercier M. Vicente Pazmiño and Veronica pour m’avoir procuré tout leur soutien possible. Merci beaucoup!
