En mai, la cérémonie d’inauguration a eu lieu à la nouvelle école de Dani, au Mali. C’était un motif de célébration – car l’école était indispensable au village – et aussi de réflexion car la communauté de Dani et la Fondation Tandana ont construit l’école ensemble a travers un partenariat effectif.

Pendant que la communauté effectuait le travail, Tandana a fourni les ressources et le financement nécessaires pour faire passer l’école du rêve à la réalité. Lorsque l’école de Dani a ouvert ses portes en octobre dernier, elle accueille 240 élèves répartis sur six niveaux scolaires et trois enseignants – qui ne disposaient auparavant pas d’un bâtiment scolaire.

Je me nomme Amadou Wologuem, je suis de Goundoly Dogon.

L’inauguration de l’école de Dani m’a donné beaucoup d’expérience que je ne savais pas dans ma propre commune.

Moi, j’avais entendu parler de la Fondation Tandana, mais je ne savais pas qu’elle fait des grandes réalisations comme cela, je pensais qu’elle forme seulement les femmes en alpha. J’étais en exode, et à mon retour j’ai trouvé la mare, on m’a dit qu’elle a été creusée par la Fondation Tandana. Mais dans tout ça je ne savais pas que la Fondation Tandana finance une telle réalisation. Mais dans l’inauguration j’ai appris que le CSCOM de Sal a été construit par la Fondation, elle a créé des AGR de femmes partout, et en partenariat avec l’association Olouguelemo, il y a beaucoup de forêt avec des cordons pierréux.

Vraiment ça m’a beaucoup plu et je remercie la Fondation Tandana.

Je m’appelle Salif Yalcouyé, je suis de Soboly.

L’école de Dani est une grande réalisation et on doit le reconnaitre. Le premier jour que j’ai participé à la réunion pour la construction de l’école, je pensais que c’est une affaire de beaucoup d’années, depuis quand on nous a demandé que c’est nous la population de Dani qui doivent casser les pierres. Je ne pensais pas que ça allait se réaliser à temps, je pensais que la pierre demandée, nous la population de Dani on ne pouvait pas casser, mais avec  l’aide de la Fondation Tandana, c’est réalisé par la grâce de Dieu, et nos enfants sont dans les salles de classe bien construites et bien équipées.

Hear how the Dani School represents what can be achieved through successful collaboration

In May, the inauguration ceremony was held at the new school in Dani, Mali. It was a reason for celebration – as the school was much needed in the village – and also for reflection because the community of Dani and The Tandana Foundation built the school together through an effective partnership.

While the community delivered the labor, Tandana provided the resources and funding to take the school from dream to reality. When the Dani School opened this October, it is serving 240 students spanning six grade levels and three teachers – all of whom previously lacked a school building.

Below, hear from members of surrounding villages about what the successful completion of the school taught them about what their community can accomplish by joining hands with Tandana.

Amadou Ouologuèm

My name is Amadou Ouloguèm. I’m from Goundoly Dogon.

The inauguration of Dani’s school taught me a lot of things that I didn’t know about my own community.

I’d heard about The Tandana Foundation, but I didn’t know it had such great achievements. I thought the foundation only trained women in literacy. I was away abroad for work, and when I came back I found they had built a pond, and they told me it had been dug with the help of The Tandana Foundation. But in all this I didn’t know that The Tandana Foundation was financing such projects. In the inauguration I learned that the health center at Sal had been built by the Foundation, and the foundation has created women’s businesses throughout the region, and in partnership with the Olouguelemo Association, there’s a lot of forest regeneration with stone contour lines.

It really impressed me and I’d like to thank The Tandana Foundation.

My name is Salif Yalcouyé, and I’m from Soboly.

The Dani School is a great achievement and we have to recognize it. The first day I attended the meeting for the construction of the school, I thought it would take many years; since when they asked us, the people of Dani, to break the stones, I didn’t think it would be done on time. I thought that with the amount of stone required, we, the people of Dani, couldn’t break it. But with the help of The Tandana Foundation, it’s been done by the grace of God, and our children are in well-built and well-equipped classrooms.

Escuche cómo la Escuela de Dani representa lo que se puede lograr mediante una colaboración exitosa

En mayo se celebró la ceremonia de inauguración de la nueva escuela de Dani, en Mali. Fue un motivo de celebración, ya que la escuela era muy necesaria en la comunidad, y también de reflexión porque la comunidad de Dani y con la Fundación Tandana, construyeron la escuela juntos a traves una asociación fructuosa.

Mientras la comunidad hacía el trabajo, Tandana proporcionó los recursos y la financiación para que la escuela pasara del sueño a la realidad. Cuando la Escuela de Dani abrió sus puertas en octubre, atendía a 240 estudiantes de seis grados y tres maestros, todos los cuales anteriormente carecían de un edificio escolar.

A continuación, escuche a dos miembros de las comunidades circundantes contar lo que les enseñó la finalización exitosa de la escuela y lo que su comunidad puede lograr al unirse a Tandana.

Había oído hablar de la Fundación Tandana, pero no sabía que tenía logros tan grandes. Pensé que la fundación sólo capacitaba a mujeres en alfabetización. Estaba en el extranjero por motivos de trabajo y cuando regresé descubrí que habían construido un estanque y me dijeron que lo habían excavado con la ayuda de la Fundación Tandana. Pero en todo esto no sabía que la Fundación Tandana estaba financiando proyectos de este tipo. En la inauguración supe que el centro de salud de Sal había sido construido por la Fundación, y la fundación ha creado empresas de mujeres en toda la región, y en colaboración con la Asociación Olouguelemo, hay mucha regeneración forestal con curvas de nivel de piedra.

Realmente me impresionó y me gustaría agradecer a la Fundación Tandana.

La Escuela de Dani es un gran logro y hay que reconocerlo. El primer día que asistí a la reunión para la construcción de la escuela, pensé que tardaría muchos años; ya que cuando nos pidieron a nosotros, la gente de Dani, que rompiéramos las piedras, no pensé que lo harían a tiempo. Pensé que con la cantidad de piedra que se necesitaba, nosotros, la gente de Dani, no podríamos romperla. Pero con la ayuda de la Fundación Tandana, se ha hecho por la gracia de Dios, y nuestros niños están en aulas bien construidas y equipadas.
